Reflection on Hud 11:112 — Qur'an Meezan

فَاسْتَقِمْ كَمَا أُمِرْتَ وَمَن تَابَ مَعَكَ وَلَا تَطْغَوْا

So remain on a right course as you have been commanded, you and those who have turned back [to Allah] with you; and do not transgress.

Surah Hud 11:112

Question

Allah addresses you and 'those who turned back with you' — istiqamah is named as a communal act, not a solo one; who in your life turned toward Allah this Ramadan, and how will you support their consistency rather than assuming they are fine on their own?

Reflection

The Arabic phrase man taba maʿaka — “those who have turned back with you” — anchors repentance (tawbah) in companionship, not isolation. The preposition maʿa (with) transforms personal return into a collective journey, where your steadfastness becomes a means of support for others. This reframes istiqamah as a mutual covenant.

Who is one person you witnessed turning this Ramadan, and what is one tangible way you can walk with them to help that turn become a lasting direction?
