Reflection on Yusuf 12:21 — Qur'an Meezan

وَاللَّهُ غَالِبٌ عَلَىٰ أَمْرِهِ

And Allah is predominant over His affair

Surah Yusuf 12:21

Question

Tonight, before you sleep, name one situation you've been trying to manage alone, and decide to consciously release it to Allah's predominant plan.

Reflection

Notice how the verse uses ghālib for “predominant”—it doesn’t just mean Allah is in control, but that His control is actively overcoming and superseding all other apparent plans, like a dye that completely saturates a fabric. Your own management of a situation is merely one color in the weave, but His ghalaba is the final, all-encompassing hue that will ultimately show. What if the very situation you’re gripping is the precise canvas where His overriding wisdom intends to manifest its most complete expression?
